A 22-year-old student of the Belarusian State University, was detained on July 27 in the framework of a criminal case opened on the July 14 events in Minsk. He was accused of active participation in group actions that grossly violate public order, and violence against an employee of the internal affairs bodies. Evgeny Kalinovsky did not admit his guilt in the trial.
The judge of the Pervomaisky district court of Minsk, Maksim Trusevich, sentenced the guy to 4 years in prison. The court also ruled to recover from Evgeny Kalinovsky compensation for moral damage in favor of two injured riot police officers in the total amount of 2,500 rubles.
