An activist of the "European Belarus" civil campaign was detained on September 25. The security forces broke down the door of his apartment.
On October 1, Evgeny Afnakhel was charged.
Evgeny Afnakhel, Pavel Yukhnevich and Andrei Voynich were one of the founders and active participants of the Zubr opposition movement. For their exclusively peaceful opposition and public activities, they were repeatedly subjected to repressions from the current government: fines, administrative arrests, beatings, intimidation and pressure.
After the events of 2010, Yevgeny Afnagel was forced to emigrate for a long period of time, but eventually returned to Belarus, where he continued his dynamic opposition political activities.
