Artsiom Bayarski

19-year-old second-year student of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Belarusian State University.

For the first time, Artyom was detained on November 16 after the March of the Elderly. But he was detained not at the place of the March, but when he was already returning to the hostel: at the exit from the metro, a bus with people in black was waiting for him. The young man was dragged into a car and beaten. And although after 15 days, for which he was sentenced, no traces of beatings were noticeable, he told his mother that he had seen a black eye. In addition, his fingers and jaw ached.

But on March 24, in the days of numerous preventive detentions before Freedom Day, they came for Artyom again: this time at 6.30 in the morning at the hostel. The guys were put on the floor, but only Artyom was taken away. Allegedly, a flag was noticed on the 11th floor.

On March 25, a video appeared on Azarenka's telegram channel, in which Artem admits to administering the public. To force him to say this on video, the guy was beaten with truncheons on the back and buttocks. During the interrogation on April 19, Artyom told his lawyer.

Artyom was supposed to be released on April 18. But on April 16, the investigator called the parents and said that he was detained as a suspect under Art. 361-1 part 1 of the Criminal Code. He was transferred to Volodarka, and on April 26 was charged under the same article.
